Racing For ALS

Racers from as far away as North Carolina, New York and Massachusetts came to battle it out for a good cause Saturday at the Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Odenton.These weren't NASCAR champs, but some of the best radio-controlled car drivers in the country, battling it out in a charity race to benefit the ALS Association.Long before ALS touched their lives, a group of co-workers got together each weekend to race RC cars."It was a team building thing for our workplace and we raced every weekend just for fun." said Odenton resident Russell Hester.Within one year, Rich, a member of the team, was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease
