More Than 50 Classic Cars Will Tour Picayune This Weekend

PICAYUNE - Picayune residents may notice more than 50 antique cars touring the citythis weekend.The event will be part of the Slidell Antique Car Club Tour, which includes members from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Texas, said Tour Co-Chairman Charles Maher.Beginning Friday, about 64 members of the club will enter Picayune as they check into the Holiday Inn Express off of Memorial Boulevard. Maher said the Picayune Police Department will direct traffic while the club enters town.After checking in at the hotel the club will head to the Crosby Arboretum for a tour.
