Cars 2 Merchandise Sales Revving Up

With Disney/Pixar's Cars 2 movie scheduled to arrive in North American cinemas on June 24, sales of related licensed merchandise " bedding and t-shirts to board games and wading pools " are already picking up speed. Despite the six year gap since the first Cars hit the big screen (receiving an Academy Award nomination) in 2006, it looks like kids' appetites for the brand haven't waned a bit. Consequently, toy industry experts are predicting sales of Cars 2 merchandise to fly off retailers' shelves at land-speed records this summer.
