WHEN it opened, bosses at the new Riverside Museum hoped it would attract 800,000 visitors in its first year. But today council leader Gordon Matheson greeted the one millionth person to visit the attraction in just five months.Sam Irvine, 7, got the shock of his life when he found he was the museum’s extra special arrival.The youngster, his mum Susan and grandparents Bob and Doreen Robertson, from Dumfries, received goodie bags with souvenirs and toys from the museum shop to mark the occasion.Sam said: "It’s the second time we’ve been - I love the museum.
