RC Car Fanatics Run Their Own Race At Festival

EAST WENATCHEE " At Wings and Wheels, the drivers tinker. The cars churn up dust. The engines whine, and occasionally roar.But these aren't the vehicles you'll see at the yearly festival's car show. Instead, at the far northeast corner of Eastmont Community Park, the Radio Control Car Club of Wenatchee gathers, spinning its tiny racers around the landscaped dirt track.The 25-member club has raced here for about 10 years, ever since they reclaimed the old bumper-boat pool with park district permission.
