In the 1980's, Chris Van Allsburg wrote a novel called The Polar Express, which subsequently was made into a film in 2004, and it's popularity soared. Robert Zemeckis, an award-winning director, producer, and screenwriter, created the film Polar Express, that opened on Thanksgiving Day in 2004 and starred the very favored Tom Hanks in a range of roles. Using leading edge animation technology, Polar Express tells the story of a young boy who needs to get the reality about Santa Claus.
