Model Aircraft To Be Displayed At Sunderland Airshow

A ONE-MAN-BAND has turned his passion for aircraft into a career after a four-and-a-half year struggle in which his dreams were almost derailed by the recession.Dominic Hipkin has now launched his RAF and Red Arrows-approved diecast scale model aircraft in time for the British airshow season and they will be on display during next weekend's Sunderland Airshow.Kingston Park-based Mr Hipkin, whose passion for aircraft started when he went to an airshow as a small child, said: "It's a hobby I turned into a part-time job."It was 2.30 in the morning and I was feeding my two-month-old son and thinking I didn't want to go back to my IT job."I went to an RAF a
